Duke of Edinburgh Award
Posted on June 21, 2022
In 2021, Open Access College offered the Duke of Edinburgh Award program. This year, we are pleased to offer this excellent opportunity once again for students in years 9-12 to step outside of their comfort zone, enhance their personal skills and get involved with a program with a substantial number of benefits.
What is The Duke of Edinburgh Award?
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a leading structured (non-formal education) youth development program aimed at empowering young people aged 14-24 to explore their potential. It is a fully inclusive program with no social, political, or religious affiliations.
To complete the program students explore the four components of Physical Recreation, Voluntary Service, an Adventurous Journey and Skill Development. The program is largely student led and enables students to engage with activities based around their current interests.
