Who is this course for?

Students interested in exploring the interconnection between people, place and space to build an understanding of the world beyond our backyard.

What will I learn?

You will learn about our diverse and connected world to explain how and why we do things the way that we do, and the impact this has on the place and space around us. This will help you make meaning of the world and the people in it.

Through looking at complex geographical issues, you will also develop skills in that can transfer to many other subjects as well.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be based on achievement standards and will consider:

  • skills of inquiry and analysis
  • communication skills
  • skills to reflect and evaluate
  • ability to problem solve
